Scrappy Bow Tie Block - Templates

PATTERN DESCRIPTION:
Provided here are the templates for piecing a Scrappy Bow Tie Block (with inset seams). Templates are provided for two different block sizes: 4 inch and 6 inch finished blocks.

SEWING INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED however you will find a detailed tutorial for sewing in-set seams with step by step instructions and lots of photos on my blog:

INCLUDED:
Templates ready to print to make a 4 inch finished Scrappy Bow tie Block.
Fabric cutting instructions to make a 4 inch finished Scrappy Bow Tie Block, together with helpful hints to make the use of templates and cutting fabric easier.
Fabric marking instructions.
A black/white line drawing of a full size quilt measuring 48 inches x 60 inches (180 Scrappy Bow Tie blocks) which will allow you to color in and experiment with colors and color placement.
Included also are templates for a 6 inch finished Scrappy Bow Tie Block should you wish to make larger size blocks.

SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
The Scrappy Bow Tie Quilt Block measures 4 inches x 4 inches.
The Scrappy Bow Tie Quilt measures 48 inches x 60 inches (15 rows of 12 blocks).
The size of the quilt can however very readily be increased or decreased by adding more or less rows/blocks.
In addition, templates are included for a 6 inch finished Scrappy Bow Tie Block.

BASIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
To construct this block you will need to be familiar with straight line stitching and inset seams.

Sewing Machine
Rotary Cutter, Mat and Quilting Ruler
Scissors
Iron
Thread
Fabric

YOU WILL ALSO NEED:
Pencil for marking fabric.
Printer and paper to print templates.

Please print ACTUAL SIZE. Do not reduce or scale to fit.

Quilt assembly instructions.

Basting and binding instructions.
